The Royal Wedding

Only because everyone is obsessed it seems, I had to post on the Royal Wedding. I am actually more interested in what they wore as opposed to all the festivities. I mean happy for them and all, but i guess i just wasn't bitten by the royal wedding bug. So here goes...

Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen was the designer of Kate Middleton's dress. I was expecting more frills and what not, but was pleasantly surprised by simple elegance of it.

Mother of the bride, Carole Middleton, was all smiles in all baby blue.

Grand-daughters to Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Eugenie wore a cobalt blue Vivienne Westwood outfit, while Princess Beatrice wore a blush Valentino number, both in Phillip Treacy hats. (Do they look like Cinderella's evil step-sisters?)

New Trend - Men in Nail Polish?!

During my daily online readings recently, I came across these pictures of a few celebs taking Metro to a whole new level. Believe it or not, the first thing that came to mind after absorbing what I read was "I wonder how long before this is the in thing in JA?" Because you know we are literally unable to pass up on a fad from across the shores. Just like a full suit of leather or furry boots in the middle of Half Way Tree, in the middle of the day, in the middle of July, we just gots to be in it if its happening.

Put a Pause on Pink, CORALS ARE SO IN!

Coral hues are the 'It' makeup trend of spring and summer 2011! Orange has been exploding on runways, red carpets, and all over Rihanna's racy "S&M" music video, this hue is here to stay! Now, we know that in theory, wearing orange blush or lipstick may seem kind of loud, so opt for formulas that are sheer, shimmery or blended with enough warm undertones to make them super-wearable and wildly flattering.

Check out picks from NYX's Professional Line that will get you more than half way to achieving the coral trend. Whether you're going for subtle or super bold, its all there.  All items can be purchased here in Jamaica at www.signifcantdetails.com.
